I'm taking some time to update the site and thus share some of my newer designs with you. May you enjoy a wander through the recent additions. Especially proud of the two books done for Club Med and the agency Doing Good Doing Well, gorgeously photographed by Madeleine Caillard. They mark a shift in social responsibility, one small step, but in the right direction. Have a look, if so inclined. Presently working on illustrating a book of classic Indian folk tales translated from Sanskrit by a most refined gentle man, designing the graphics on some innovative iPhone cases for a burgeoning Portland, Oregon company and – together with a delightful new Parisian agency, JEM – creating promotional materials for Seuil/La Martinière. Planning to continue teaching my Masters seminar on Innovative Thinking – all the while on the hunt for that next wonderful new client and challenge. Ahem?

Me voilà mettant à jour le site pour partager mes nouvelles créations et designs avec vous. En vous souhaitant une bonne promenade parmi eux. Je suis particulièrement partisane des deux tomes, avec les photographies magnifiques de Madeleine Caillard, faites pour le Club Med et l'agence Doing Good Doing Well. Ces livres marquent un nouveau pas vers le développement durable, si nécessaire à promouvoir dans les sociétés. Jetez un coup d'oeil si cela vous tente. À présent, j'illustre un recueil de contes classiques indiens, traduit du sanskrit par un gentleman du premier ordre. Pour des Américains d'Oregon je dessine des graphismes pour des étuis innovateurs d'iPhone. Je travaille avec une nouvelle agence sympa, JEM, pour la promotion des livres chez Seuil/La Martinière. Je compte continuer à donner mes séminaires de Masters en Innovative Thinking – tout en poursuivant ma quête pour le prochain client et challenge géniales. Des pistes ?

and excellent news | la cie du lierre est de retour !

Not to be bested by cultural woes, the Compagnie du Lierre is back on its feet preparing a colorful new play written by Farid Paya, with original music by Bill Mahder. Inspired by an ancient iranian saga, the story of Rostam and Sohrâb will be presented at the new Théâtre 13/Seine in May 2012. Stay tuned for more info. But this much you might have guessed, who do you imagine will be designing the graphics and poster?

Malgré des alinéas du monde de la culture à Paris, la Compagnie du Lierre est de retour avec une nouvelle pièce écrite par Farid Paya et musique composée par Bill Mahder. Inspiré d'une saga iranienne, l'histoire de Rostam et Sohrâb illuminera la scène du nouveau Théâtre 13/Seine en mai 2012. Je vous en dirai plus plus tard. Mais vous soupçonnez peut-être qui sera en charge de la création graphique autour du spectacle ?!

And bad news… | Triste réalité

After airing on French television in May, the film, The Invisible Crime, has had to be pulled after several of the women who testified received death threats for themselves and their families. This ignites the painful questioning process of "what can/should I do to help in a situation which is so far beyond my control?" I, for one, feel we cannot stop trying to bring these stories to light and public attention. But how to do so without endangering these already traumatized humans is a question open to debate.

Your ideas are welcome.

Après son diffusion télévisuelle, le film, Le Crime Invisible, a du être retiré de circulation suite aux menaces de mort reçues par quelques unes des femmes concernées. Pour moi, ceci met en question le geste juste a effectuer face aux horreurs de cette ampleur qui nous dépassent. Ne rien faire ne me semble pas une option. Mais que faire et comment avancer les choses sans mettre en danger les gens déjà traumatisés ? Vos idées seront les bienvenues.
